About TracTek
Tractek Engineering was established by life-long agricultural engineer Jeremy Burgess to develop several ideas for new machinery. Jeremy grew up on and around farms in Yorkshire before embarking on a career in the farm machinery industry. After completing an apprenticeship with a major dealership group he obtained an Engineering Degree from the leading agricultural engineering university at the time, Silsoe College. Jeremy spent many years with a major global tractor and machinery manufacturer in both technical and commercial capacities. He is a Charted Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Now settled on a small farm in South Devon Jeremy has developed the Scarrow, a new grassland harrow and seeder combination which has a unique combination of scarifying tines and traditional chain harrow mat. The Scarrow is a registered UK design and Scarrow is a registered trade mark.
Tractek Engineering also carry out specialist contracting services in South Devon focused on the establishment and maintenance of wildflower meadows.
